Oil on Wood Paintings
I am a recently retired special education teacher from Fairview Marguerite Elementary School. Originally from Michigan, with an inherited love for painting that I thank my mother for. With a long absence from painting, I returned to that interest in painting 8 years ago, with a primary interest in oil on wood. It is a tedious process, but the wood grain gives a unique effect. As a member of the Morristown Art Association, I have been in many M.A.A. juried art shows, and a Merit Award winner. An exhibitor at Mountain Makins, winning Honorable Mention. And, an exhibitor at Arts in the Park. And just recently in the Downtown Morristown Festival. My work has often been described as eclectic, with each piece being unique.
