Peggy has an interest in the arts and paints and takes photographs as a hobby. She has taken art classes from local artists such as Bill Bledsoe, Paul deMarrais in watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic, and oil pastel; she has taken several watercolor classes at the Arrowmont School in Gatlinburg; and has taken watercolor and pastel classes from several internationally and nationally known artists: Robert Wade, Tom Lynch, Frederick Graff,and Jack Pardue. Her work has been shown in several MAA Juried Art Shows, Fine Art Photography Juried Shows, and Member Art Shows where she has received several awards, as well as at the Morristown-Hamblen Library. Her works are in the Rose Center Council For The Arts Sales Gallery, the Rose Center Perk Prater Hall Large Works Exhibit, and The Gray Dove Gallery in New Market, TN. She has instructed a Pastel Workshop at the Senior Citizens Center in Morristown, TN.

An active member of the Morristown Art Association, Peggy recently completed an 11 year term as the MAA President. She previously served as President for five years, as well as First Vice President and Program Chairman prior to becoming President.

She has served as Chairman of the MAA Arts In The Park since the beginning in 2007.

Peggy is a member of Rose Center Council For The Arts and serves as Chairman, Artists' Advisory Council. She is a member of the Tusculum College Alumni Executive Board of Greeeneville, TN, having previously served as President, and a member of the President's Advisory Council.
